ISM Patna is the first unaided MBA college in Bihar, Eastern India, offering a 2-year full time residential PGDM (equivalent to MBA) programmm providing comprehensive learning and enabling the students to develop the ability to work in team, fellow feeling, managing diversity and overall development into a balanced and matured personality. Only class room teaching and stay in the campus for some part of the day is not adequate enough to develop the above mentioned qualities. In a good MBA/PGDM institute, learning outside the class is as much, if not more, as inside the class. And, this is possible only when the students stay together during the entire duration of the program. Students can enhance their learning only through sharing of knowledge with each other bringing in different perspectives on the issues. In real life most of the work is done in team and therefore companies value those candidates who have the ability to work in and lead teams. This is possible only when the students stay together. PGDM/MBA is an intensive programme which requires complete dedication and focus from the students to do justice to and leverage from the course. The institute’s faculty structure consist of Core, Adjunct, and Visiting faculty drawn from academia and industry making it a right blend in delivering conceptual and practical insight into the programme.

Faculty is drawn from premier institutes of the country like IIM Kolkata, IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Kharagpur, XLRI Jamshedpur, and S. P. Jain, Mumbai. Senior professionals from industry teach courses as visiting faculty and guest faculty.
